ABOUT

Amadi Williams is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work centers on amplifying unheard voices and confronting systemic inequities. Through the organization Meaningful Voices, Amadi explores the intersection of art, design, and social justice—using visual storytelling to examine the disparities within the missing persons epidemic, particularly as it impacts Black women and girls.

Rooted in research and lived perspective, Amadi’s work challenges the absence of urgency, empathy, and media representation surrounding marginalized communities. By reimagining familiar formats and objects, such as the traditional missing person milk carton, Meaningful Voices transforms everyday visuals into powerful commentaries that demand attention and accountability.

At its core, Meaningful Voices exists to elevate stories that are often overlooked, restore visibility to those who have been erased, and create space for dialogue, reflection, and change. Amadi’s practice is not only about awareness, but about shifting narratives—ensuring that the lives and voices of the unheard are recognized, valued, and remembered.
